Management Liability and Transaction Liability are both classes of business that are written on a delegated authority basis by Antares Syndicate. We seek to support specialist teams with unique underwriting skills that are in a position to take advantage of a niche marketplace.
Management Liability insurance is a package policy that covers exposures faced by directors, officers, managers, and business entities that arise from governance, finance, benefits and management activities.
Potential claimants include shareholders, customers, suppliers, employees, creditors and regulators. The constituent policy elements include Directors and Officers Liability insurance, Employment Practices Liability insurance, Fiduciary Liability insurance, Commercial Crime insurance and Corporate Legal Liability insurance.
Transaction Liability insurance products are structured to protect against financial losses arising as a result of inaccuracies in representations or warranties made in share and asset purchase agreements. Available to both sellers and buyers of companies, policies can minimise seller liability on business exit, enhance bids by potential buyers and bridge differing indemnification expectations. The products include Warranty and Indemnity insurance (W&I) and insurance for contingent tax and other liabilities arising in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
Antares is seeking to build portfolios of both products that can offer diversity, non-accumulation and variety in order to achieve consistent and above average returns.
The unit is run by Martin Campbell. Martin has been involved with both products, as an underwriter or as a supporter of delegated authority portfolios, for most of his career in the London Market.
